The South African Society of Medical Oncology (SASMO) and The South African Stem Cell Transplant Society (SASCeTS) invite you to attend the Joint 2022 Congress which will be held at the Sandton Convention Centre 06 – 08 May 2022.

An increasing number of cancer patients are receiving multimodal treatments involving surgery, chemotherapy, small molecule targeted therapy, various forms of immunotherapy, radiation therapy and new generation cellular therapies such as CAR T-cells. As the fields of Medical Oncology and Haemopoietic Cell Transplant evolve, therapy is becoming more precise and directed to the personal situation of each patient. As such we have identified this as our theme for 2022.

We encourage our colleagues to maximise the beneficial effect of multimodal treatments for their patients.

The meeting will focus on the latest developments in the field highlighting the new treatments available internationally and how this could be integrated into the local landscape.

The congress will provide the Oncology fraternity with an excellent and long overdue opportunity to reconnect and interact with your colleagues as well as a highly esteemed international faculty with expertise in the various sub-disciplines of precision medicine. The conference will also provide opportunities for allied health care workers to attend a customised programme.
